There are times in all our lives when our emotions feel overwhelming, and we can even become unwell with a mental health problem. Having psychoanalytic therapy can help us to better understand ourselves and to work through our difficulties.

As a psychiatrist, I have trained in the UK as both a medical psychotherapist and child and adolescent psychiatrist. I also trained in parallel as a psychoanalyst. The elements of these trainings have allowed me to use psychoanalytic thinking to benefit people across the age-range struggling with overwhelming experiences.

In the UK, I first worked in the public health system, designing and leading an award-winning service for adults with personality disorder, before coming to Australia where I designed the first therapeutic community for self-harming adolescents in Australia.

As a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in private practice, I offer psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to people hoping for support in their struggle to cope with their emotional life, their relationships and the world around them.
